Business Security Consultant

Position: Business Security Consultant/ Project Security Consultant (Application Security) Client: Enterprise Canadian Banking Client Type: 6 m contract + extensions Location: 2 days a week on site downtown Toronto Rate: 55-60/hr incorporated (60 is MAX rate) Required Skills & Experience • 5+ years of experience working as a BA, PM, or Business Consultant • Recent 2+ year focus of project work within Application Security projects • Experience working at a major north American Bank • Application Security & Operational Awareness: Understanding of application security practices, tools, onboarding processes, and coverage requirements • Understanding of Application Security processes and tests such as SAST/DAST, and vulnerability patch management • Ability to report on project status, updates, and timelines • Reporting, Data Analysis & Metrics Development: Ability to aggregate, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources to develop meaningful metrics, insights, and reporting outputs for stakeholders. • Vulnerability Management & Remediation Tracking: Experience tracking vulnerability findings, interpreting tool outputs • Project Coordination & Stakeholder Management • Governance & Continuous Improvement • Excel, reporting platforms to automate reporting, improve data quality • Communication & Executive Reporting: Ability to distil complex data into clear, actionable insights and produce concise presentations and materials for technical teams and senior leadership
