Fractional Director, People & Culture
Our client in the public sector is seeking an experienced Fractional Director, People & Culture for an interim leadership assignment.
This senior-level role will provide strategic and hands-on HR leadership with a strong focus on labour relations, collective agreement administration, and supporting leaders within a highly unionized public sector environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide strategic oversight across People & Culture functions
• Lead complex labour relations matters including grievances, investigations, discipline, accommodations, and conflict resolution
• Support interpretation and administration of large public sector collective bargaining agreements
• Partner with leadership on workforce planning, employee relations, and organizational change
• Ensure compliance with Ontario labour legislation and public sector HR best practices
Qualifications
• 10+ years of progressive HR and labour relations leadership experience
• Strong public or broader public sector experience within unionized environments
• Direct experience supporting collective agreements, grievance processes, and labour strategy
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and advisory skills
• CHRL/CHRE designation considered an asset
• Flexible to work onsite or hybrid as required
