Overview:
The Project Advisor, Work Smart is responsible for delivering Work Smart initiatives, classroom training, marketing and growing our program and brand, and helping with program administration.
What you will be doing:
•
Engage the business to resolve problems and seize upon opportunities by selecting and applying the right methodology. Methodologies deployed by Work Smart include:
•
Work Smart (Lean Six Sigma)
•
Design Thinking (IDEO)
•
Daily Management (Lean Management System focusing on: Strategic Alignment, Visual Management, Daily Accountability, and Leader Standard Work).
•
Other support: Facilitation, business analysis, process mapping.
•
Develop the skills and capabilities of BC Hydro by delivering White Belt, Yellow Belt, Green Belt, Design Thinking, and Daily Management training.
•
Promote and market the concepts, products and services of the Work Smart program.
•
Keep a pulse on what’s going on in the business, and use this information to proactively identify opportunities to assist the business to create greater value.
•
Ensure the satisfaction of clients and quality of business solutions produced.
•
Be fastidious in measuring and tracking the benefits (time, quality and cost) of each of your initiatives.
What you must have:
•
Post-secondary education degree or diploma.
•
Evidence of relevant and progressive work experience, including process improvement, the development of business solutions and provision of client services.
•
Green Belt trained or experience in leading process improvements.
•
Exceptional facilitation skills, proven leadership and consensus building skills, focused on achievement of measurable outcomes.
•
Ability to think creatively and strategically in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
•
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all stakeholders.
•
Proficient problem-solving, analytical skills, research techniques, and critical thinking skills.
•
Ability to effectively manage multiple activities of varying complexity while under time constraints.
•
Ability to integrate strategic long-term business objectives and organizational goals into program design and delivery
Salary/Rate Range: $78.00 -$96.00 per hour
Term: 6-month contract; most likely to extend
