About the Role
A global in-house agency that designs, builds, and runs bespoke marketing teams inside major brands is hiring an Account Executive in Toronto. This hybrid client-facing and project management role supports the account team in building strong client relationships and taking jobs from brief through completion.
The Account Executive manages assigned projects, creates tactical briefs, develops workback schedules, coordinates communications between clients and internal creative teams, and handles billing and project tracking. It's a hands-on role suited for someone with agency experience who thrives on organization, client service, and keeping multiple workstreams moving.
What the Role Covers
• Managing assigned projects from client briefing to completion
• Creating tactical briefs and providing internal direction to creative and studio team members
• Developing workback schedules and ensuring alignment among clients, media partners, and internal teams
• Managing all communications between clients and the internal team, including routing feedback
• Setting up projects and deliverables in the project management system and maintaining up-to-date status details
• Taking meeting notes and setting follow-up actions for client and team meetings
• Coordinating and scheduling meetings with clients, agencies, and team members
• Managing billing through POs, estimates, and sales orders in the project management system
• Staying informed on industry innovations and sharing relevant insights with the team
• Supporting the Account Manager and Account Director on additional projects as needed
Qualifications
• 1 to 3 years of experience in an Account Coordinator, Assistant Account Executive, or Junior Project Manager role
• 1 to 3 years of experience at an advertising agency or in-house creative team
• 1 to 3 years of experience working on print and digital creative projects with a clear understanding of digital and social channels
• Comfort and maturity in client-facing conversations, with previous experience presenting information to clients
• 1 to 2 years of experience creating billing detail, tracking hours, and managing project budgets
• Strong desire to support the broader account team and pitch in where needed
• Ability to take direction and work as a self-starter
