Our client is seeking an experienced Senior HR Business Partner specializing in Global Mobility to join their fully remote People Operations team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing all aspects of our international employee relocation and assignment programs. You will serve as a strategic partner to business leaders, providing expert guidance on expatriate policies, tax implications, immigration requirements, and the overall employee experience during international assignments. This position requires a deep understanding of global HR compliance, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex cross-cultural scenarios, all within a remote-first operational framework.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and manage the company's global mobility strategy and policies. Provide expert consultation and support to employees and managers on all aspects of international assignments, including relocation, immigration, tax equalization, and benefits. Partner with legal and tax advisors to ensure compliance with all relevant international employment laws and regulations. Manage relationships with third-party relocation and assignment service providers. Oversee the preparation and review of assignment agreements, cost projections, and compensation packages. Develop and deliver training programs for HR teams and managers on global mobility best practices. Analyze global mobility data to identify trends, assess program effectiveness, and recommend improvements. Ensure a seamless and positive experience for relocating employees and their families. Collaborate with HR colleagues in various regions to ensure consistent application of global mobility policies. Stay current with best practices, legislative changes, and emerging trends in global mobility and international HR.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, International Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. 7+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a minimum of 5 years focused specifically on Global Mobility. In-depth knowledge of international tax regulations, immigration laws, and expatriate compensation methodologies. Proven experience managing complex international assignments for a global workforce. Strong understanding of HR compliance and risk management in a global context. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, adapted for remote interactions. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fully remote environment. Experience with global mobility management software and HRIS systems. Fluency in a second language is a plus. Certified Global Mobility Professional (CGMP) or similar designation is highly desirable.
