VP- Asset Allocation Product Management - TD Asset Management

Pay range: $120,000 - $150,000 CAD
Role Overview
The Vice President, Asset Allocation Product Management supports the management of TDAM’s multi-asset product platform, including risk profiled and model-based programs. Reporting to the Lead of Asset Allocation Product Management, this role is responsible for supporting product positioning, lifecycle management, and product development initiatives, ensuring alignment between investment capabilities, client needs, and distribution priorities. The role operates within TDAM’s product model and partners closely with investment teams, client portfolio management, product intelligence, and distribution and marketing.
Key Accountabilities
• Product Performance & Commercial Oversight • Monitor product performance relative to benchmarks and peer groups
• Assess AUM, flows, and client adoption patterns
• Identify drivers of performance and positioning gaps
• Support ongoing product reviews and recommend enhancements
• Product Positioning & Use Case Maintenance • Maintain clear product positioning across model portfolios and managed solutions
• Ensure alignment between product design, portfolio construction, and client use cases
• Support development of consistent product narratives across channels
• Lifecycle Management & Product Stewardship • Support ongoing management of the asset allocation product shelf
• Contribute to product rationalization and shelf optimization initiatives
• Assist in periodic product reviews, updates, and repositioning efforts
• Ensure documentation and product materials remain current and accurate
• Market & Competitive Awareness • Analyze competitor offerings and industry trends in multi-asset investing
• Identify implications for product positioning and competitiveness
• Support development of insights on managed solutions, model-based programs, and retirement solutions
• Stakeholder Coordination • Act as a key point of contact across Investments, CPM, Distribution, Legal, Risk, and Marketing
• Support alignment between product strategy, positioning, and implementation
• Support stakeholder discussions with accurate product information
• Product Development & Implementation Support • Support product enhancement initiatives in partnership with Product & Marketing Intelligence
• Contribute to positioning and commercial input for product changes and current concepts
• Assist with implementation activities across product changes and launches
• Product Documentation & Governance • Ensure product offering documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with mandates
• Support governance processes, including product approvals and updates
• Maintain adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies
Qualifications & Experience
• 5–8 years of experience in asset management, product, investments, or strategy
• Strong understanding of multi‑asset investing, including asset allocation frameworks, portfolio construction concepts, and investment vehicles such as mutual funds, ETFs, and model portfolios
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams in a regulated environment
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
• Preferred: CFA designation or progress toward CFA
• Preferred: Experience supporting product lifecycle management or product development initiatives
