IREN is building the infrastructure that powers next-generation AI and cloud computing. As a PMP-certified Project Manager - HPC , you will own end-to-end delivery of accelerated compute cluster programs across IREN’s datacenter and cloud operations. You will ensure that GPU cluster deployments are executed safely, on schedule, and to defined quality and availability standards, spanning site readiness and hardware commissioning through network integration and customer handover. Equally, you will establish the governance frameworks, reporting cadences, and stakeholder communication practices that give IREN’s leadership and customers full, real-time visibility into program health.
• Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
• 6+ years of progressive project management experience, including demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional infrastructure or technology programs.
• Experience managing multi-billion dollar capital programs, including vendor selection and contract management.
• Strong command of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, hybrid) with the judgement to apply the right approach for the context.
• Proficiency in PM tooling: MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, or equivalent portfolio management platforms.
• Demonstrated expertise in risk management, dependency tracking, change control, and milestone-driven execution.
• Ability to influence and drive outcomes across senior cross-functional stakeholders without direct line authority.
Preferred Qualifications
• PgMP (Program Management Professional), PMI-ACP, or PfMP certification.
• Experience delivering datacenter, compute infrastructure, or large-scale technology deployment programs on time and within budget.
• Familiarity with GPU compute cluster architecture, datacenter power and cooling systems, and structured cabling and networking infrastructure.
• Familiarity with NVIDIA accelerated computing platforms and cluster architecture.
• Experience managing OEM hardware procurement and logistics for large-scale compute deployments.
• Background in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement frameworks applied to infrastructure delivery.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar compliance and assurance frameworks in a datacenter context.
• Experience with executive-level program governance, including Board and investor reporting.
• PMO Standards & Continuous Improvement : Define and enforce delivery standards, methodology guidelines (Waterfall, Agile, hybrid), and lessons-learned processes. Drive ongoing improvement to delivery velocity, predictability, and quality across the portfolio.
• Customer & Partner Engagement : Interface with cloud customers, hardware vendors, and technology partners to communicate project status, manage expectations, and ensure all stakeholders are aligned to delivery commitments and change decisions.
• Change Communication & Management : Lead structured change control and communication processes, ensuring that scope, schedule, or budget changes are assessed, approved, clearly communicated, and reflected in updated plans.
• Cluster Delivery Ownership : Lead end-to-end delivery of GPU compute cluster programs, managing scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies from initiation through commissioning and customer acceptance.
• Project Planning & Scheduling : Develop and maintain detailed project plans, work breakdown structures, resource plans, and milestone schedules aligned to contractual and operational commitments.
• Risk & Issue Management : Proactively identify, assess, and manage risks and issues across the delivery lifecycle. Develop mitigation and contingency plans; escalate blockers in a timely and structured manner.
• Cross-Functional Coordination : Align engineering, procurement, data center operations, networking, and facilities teams to shared delivery milestones. Manage interdependencies and resolve conflicts across workstreams.
• Vendor & Supplier Management : Coordinate hardware vendors, general contractors, and third-party suppliers to delivery commitments. Track vendor milestones, manage change orders, and hold external parties accountable to SLAs.

• The expected base salary for this role CAD$150,000-170,000/annum.
• Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and market data for the region.
