Responsibilities
• Lead full-cycle recruitment for assigned client groups, including job postings, candidate pre-screening, interview coordination, offer preparation, extension, and onboarding.
• Lead the co-operative education program for assigned client groups, overseeing the full program lifecycle from recruitment through completion, building strong relationships with university and college career centres.
• Support the annual compensation cycle, including merit increases, bonus administration, and short-term incentive processes.
• Coordinate the annual promotion nomination cycle, including timeline management, stakeholder communication, and submission tracking.
• Serve as the HR advisor for health and safety matters for assigned client groups.
• Support employee relations matters, including workplace accommodations, performance improvement plans, and employment terminations.
• Track immigration matters and employee work authorization, ensuring timely follow-up and compliance with applicable requirements.
• Support the ongoing implementation of competency frameworks and career path initiatives.
• Lead or coordinate assigned HR projects and initiatives, ensuring timely execution and alignment with departmental objectives.
• Support the planning and coordination of employee engagement initiatives and events that contribute to a positive workplace culture.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of SOPs and workflows to improve process consistency and efficiency.
Requirements
• A bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation.
• At least 5 years+ of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist role within a corporate environment.
• A self-starter with strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and project management abilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong analytical skills and demonstrated experience using best practices to improve HR processes.
• Excellent time management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across competing priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including the ability to build spreadsheets using VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, and basic macros.
• Experience managing tight deadlines during fast-paced cycles.
• Experience using applicant tracking systems.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
