About this role

A leading Canadian banking client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support Accounts Payable operations, automation initiatives, and process improvement activities. This is a 12-month contract offering the opportunity to work across multiple finance systems and collaborate with business, technology, and operational teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in invoice processing, supplier management, procurement workflows, and automation projects while driving operational efficiency and business process enhancements. Work Model: Hybrid (Onsite Wednesdays, Thursdays, and every 4th Friday of the month) Key Responsibilities • Support Accounts Payable operations including invoice processing, payment management, and discrepancy resolution. • Gather, analyze, validate, and document business requirements. • Support automation and process improvement initiatives across finance operations. • Manage project activities, timelines, documentation, and status reporting. • Collaborate with business, technology, and third-party stakeholders to deliver solutions. • Support supplier management, travel & expense processes, corporate cards, and fixed asset management activities. • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, controls, and compliance. • Facilitate stakeholder discussions, working sessions, and solution reviews. Must-Have Requirements • 5+ years of Business Analysis experience. • 5+ years of experience supporting Accounts Payable, Procure-to-Pay, or related finance operations. • Hands-on experience with Coupa, PeopleSoft, and SAP General Ledger. • Banking or financial services industry experience. • Strong requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Microsoft Project, Teams, and SharePoint. • Experience working on process improvement and automation initiatives. Nice-to-Have • Procure-to-Pay (P2P) experience. • Invoice processing and procurement experience. • Experience within large banking environments. • Jira and Confluence experience. • Project management experience.
