About this role

Dear Lawyer, I wrote to you a while back. I described a different kind of law firm, one built on excellence, compassion, and something worth fighting for. Many of you wrote back. Some of you are now my colleagues. That firm has roots now. We have offices in downtown Hamilton, glass walls going up and pink chandelier en route as I write this. The docket is fuller, the work is harder, and the mission has only gotten louder. The last letter was a pitch. This one is an invitation to accelerate something already in motion. If you are the lawyer we are looking for, you bring warmth to the boardroom and ferocity to the page. You win, and you know exactly why it matters. You are the person who reads a decision and immediately sees five ways to challenge it. The person in the meeting who always has an idea, sometimes one the room is not ready for, because you are a step ahead of it. You have adopted AI and new tools in your own way, on your own terms. What you want is the chance to put character into your practice. To push the limits and do the right thing. To take creative, careful risks that move justice forward in ways that actually matter. And to do it alongside a close team that feels exactly the same way. The role Bird Bolt Law is hiring an Associate Lawyer. Permanent position, 3 to 5 years of experience, based in Hamilton.
