Role Description This is a contract-based role based in Toronto, ON, responsible for Social Media Management and Ads Management for Studio Ceramica. The role includes planning and executing the social media content calendar across platforms, creating engaging posts (copy, images, short-form video), and actively managing community interactions, comments, and direct messages. The SMM + Ads Manager will set up, monitor, and optimize paid advertising campaigns on platforms such as Meta, Google, and other relevant channels, focusing on event bookings, workshop registrations, and brand awareness. Day-to-day tasks include tracking and reporting on key performance metrics, conducting basic competitor and trend research, coordinating content needs with the studio team, and ensuring the brand’s visual and verbal identity is consistently represented. The person in this role will collaborate closely with studio leadership to support marketing campaigns, seasonal promotions, and corporate event outreach. Qualifications • Proficiency in social media management, including content planning, posting, and community engagement across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. • Experience creating compelling digital content, including short-form video, photography direction, and engaging copy tailored to brand voice and audience. • Hands-on experience setting up, managing, and optimizing paid ads (e.g., Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads) with a focus on conversions and measurable ROI. • Comfort with basic analytics tools and reporting (platform insights, Google Analytics, or similar) to monitor performance and inform content and ad strategies. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail, brand consistency, and clear, inclusive messaging. • Collaborate with a small team, and adapt quickly in a creative, event-focused environment. • Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple campaigns, deadlines, and real-time social engagement. • Prior experience in hospitality, events, arts, or studio-based environments is an asset, as is familiarity with CRM or booking platforms. • Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, media, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
