We're partnering with a leading global professional services organization to recruit a Public Relations Manager for its Canadian business. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly respected international brand with an award-winning culture and play a key role in shaping its public profile across Canada. You'll own the Canadian PR strategy while working closely with global communications teams and senior executives. This is a highly visible role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building media relationships, and can confidently advise executive leaders. Job Title: Public Relations Manager (Full Time) Location: Downtown Toronto (Hybrid – 2 days/week in office) Salary: $75,000 – $100,000 + 8% Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits + 4 Weeks Vacation What You'll Be Doing Media Relations • Develop and execute the Canadian public relations strategy. • Build and strengthen relationships with national, business, and trade media. • Pitch timely stories, industry commentary, data insights, and executive thought leadership. • Manage incoming media requests and support crisis communications when required. • Monitor media coverage, analyze results, and provide reporting. • Partner with international PR teams on global communications initiatives. Executive & Media Support • Prepare senior executives for media interviews through briefing documents and messaging. • Support live interviews and provide post-interview coaching. • Coordinate media training for company spokespersons. Content Development • Write compelling press releases, media pitches, executive bylines, blogs, and thought leadership content. • Adapt messaging for different audiences and media channels. • Ensure all communications are polished, accurate, and aligned with brand standards. Corporate Communications • Support employer branding, awards submissions, community initiatives, and internal communications. • Collaborate with Marketing and HR on conferences, events, presentations, and executive speaking opportunities. What We're Looking For • 5+ years of Public Relations and Media Relations experience. • Proven success securing earned media coverage with Tier 1 media outlets. • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities. • Experience preparing executives for media opportunities. • Strong relationship-building skills with journalists and media contacts. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving corporate environment. • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related discipline. Preferred Background We're particularly interested in candidates coming from: • Professional services • Recruitment & staffing • Consulting • Banking or financial services • Legal • Large multinational organizations • Public relations agencies supporting corporate or B2B clients Candidates from media organizations or publications may also be considered if they bring strong corporate communications experience.
