About the Role The Senior Financial Analyst will be a key member of the Finance team, responsible for supporting the capital project governance processes. We are seeking a hardworking individual who is passionate about decarbonization and eager to play an active role in the transition to clean energy. The ideal candidate is a team player who is excited about process improvement, reimagining workflows, and asking the difficult questions that drive meaningful change. Duties & Responsibilities • Support the Manager, Capital Projects with capital planning, forecasting, governance, and reporting processes. • Ensure timely and accurate monthly management reporting and analysis to enable effective management of capital spend • Participate in the annual capital budgeting process as well as periodic forecast updates • Support the process to record capital asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system (D365) by partnering with business stakeholders, including reviews of accruals, as part of the month-end and year-end closing process • Track the compilation of project costs into construction work in progress accounts, close out those accounts, and componentize the asset once the related projects have been completed • Assist with reporting requirements relating to compliance with grant funding such as the Low Carbon Economy Challenge Funding Agreements with the Government of Canada and other agreements that may arise • Strong focus on business partnering and understanding business operations through positive interactions with business stakeholders and developing strong working relationships with key business partners • Be a point of contact for the company related to the capital process and provide support to the business • Assist with annual financial audit compliance and tax preparation support related to fixed assets • Prepare ad-hoc analysis, reports, and assist with special projects as required • Streamline processes by updating workpapers, support process improvements, finance transformation initiatives, and the implementation and testing of new systems, controls, and procedures Qualifications & Skills • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business • Obtained an accounting or finance designation (i.e., CPA) • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Senior Financial Analyst or 2 years of experience in audit/assurance at a large public accounting firm • Proficient in Excel and accounting/reporting systems, experience with Dynamics 365 and Power BI would be considered an asset • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with business partners across Operations and Corporate functions • Process-oriented individuals with a desire to be challenged, design and implement process improvements and take initiative to solve problems independently • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities • Ability to work in a dynamic environment which requires a high level of flexibility and adaptability Why Join Enwave? • Join a purpose-driven organization leading the transition to sustainable, low-carbon energy solutions. • Work on impactful projects that drive meaningful change in communities and the environment. • Thrive in a culture that values continuous learning, innovation, and professional growth. • Collaborate with experienced leaders and a supportive team, with the resources and backing of globally recognized investors.
