Senior Project Manager Location: Toronto, ON Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid (Wednesday, Thursday – Every 4th Friday) Contract Details • Position Type: Contract • Contract Duration: 7 months (extension possible, conversion to FTE possible) • Start: June 29, 2026 • Pay Rate: C$85.00–C$90.00 / Hour (CAD) • Shift / Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 37.5 hours per week --- Job Summary The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing medium-complexity Finance projects or large workstreams within complex programs. This includes end-to-end accountability for scope, schedule, cost, and quality, as well as stakeholder engagement and reporting. --- Key Responsibilities • Plan, execute, monitor, and close projects aligned to defined scope, timelines, and budgets • Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular project status reporting to leadership • Develop and maintain project documentation including plans, status reports, risks, issues, and change requests • Analyze business requirements and technical solution options, providing recommendations based on impact and feasibility • Track and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and changes including financial impacts • Ensure adherence to enterprise project governance standards, policies, and SDLC practices • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business, technology, vendors, and consulting partners • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and decision-making sessions with stakeholders at all levels --- Required Skills • Strong experience managing Peoplesoft Financials and/or SAP projects, preferably S/4HANA FICO, MDG, GR • Experience within Finance or Financial Systems delivery • Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies • Experience working with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and SDLC • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills --- Preferred Skills • Experience with SAP (S/4 FICO, MDG, and Group Reporting) or PeopleSoft Financials systems • General accounting process knowledge • Banking or financial services experience • Strong communication skills with ability to simplify complex concepts for senior leadership • Stakeholder management and relationship-building across all organizational levels • Ability to influence without authority and drive alignment • Critical thinking and strong decision-making capabilities • Highly organized with strong time management and attention to detail • Adaptability in fast-paced, evolving environments --- Required Experience • 8–10 years of project management experience in technology delivery environments --- Important Notes • Please ensure any candidate vacation time is included in the submission package. • The 20-day furlough must be communicated to candidates at time of submission. • Interview process: 2 rounds — 1st round with Hiring Manager; 2nd round (potentially on-site) with Hiring Manager and Senior Leader. --- About the Client Leading North American financial institution offering a wide range of reliable financial products and services.
