Senior Property Accountant (Yardi Implementation)

Senior Property Accountant / Yardi Implementation Specialist Toronto, ON – Fully Onsite 3–6 Month Contract $40–$60/hour Our client, a commercial real estate organization, is seeking a Senior Property Accountant with strong Yardi experience to support a major systems implementation and accounting transformation project. This is an excellent opportunity for a property accounting professional who enjoys process improvement, system implementations, and working in a project-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: • Support the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Yardi • Assist with data migration, validation, reconciliation, and system testing • Identify and resolve accounting and system-related issues during the transition • Collaborate with accounting, finance, and operations teams to ensure a smooth implementation • Review financial data and maintain accuracy throughout the conversion process • Support month-end close activities, reconciliations, and accounting cleanup as required • Assist with process improvements and reporting enhancements Qualifications: • Previous hands-on experience with a Yardi implementation, upgrade, conversion, or optimization project • Strong commercial property accounting experience, ideally at the Senior Property Accountant level • Solid understanding of full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, CAM reconciliations, and recoveries • Advanced Excel skills • Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities • CPA designation or progress toward CPA is considered an asset This is an immediate opportunity for a professional who can quickly add value and help drive a successful Yardi implementation project.
