About this role

About the position BeyondTrust is seeking a Sr. UX Researcher to be a primary customer advocate for their password management capabilities within the secrets management space. This role involves identifying meaningful problems, delivering actionable insights, and influencing product decisions in a high-velocity environment. The researcher will operate independently, drive product direction, and solve complex problems related to credential storage, access workflows, and security control usability for both administrators and end-users. Success is measured by research being actively used to shape product strategy and prioritization. Responsibilities • Own UX research for BeyondTrust’s password and secrets management capabilities • Identify and prioritize high-impact problems across both administrator and end-user experiences • Deliver fast, high-quality research that keeps pace with product development • Translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations, not just findings • Influence roadmap and prioritization decisions through evidence and strong point of view • Partner closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to shape both problem definition and solution direction • Act as the primary customer advocate in product discussions, ensuring user needs are represented across multiple user types • Push back on assumptions and challenge decisions when they are not aligned with user needs • Conduct end-to-end research using a mix of methods • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to uncover high-impact opportunities • Build strong relationships with PMs, designers, and engineers to ensure research is trusted and used • Operate independently and manage multiple high-priority efforts without heavy support Requirements • 5–10 years of experience working on complex enterprise or B2B products • Proven experience driving product decisions through UX research • Strong working knowledge of enterprise software and complex administrative workflows • Experience or familiarity with cybersecurity domains such as: Password/secrets management, Credential storage, rotation, and lifecycle workflows • Experience delivering both qualitative and quantitative research • Demonstrated ability to operate at speed and deliver actionable insights • Experience influencing stakeholders and navigating strong opinions Nice-to-haves • Excellent communication and storytelling skills • Strong ability to influence without authority • Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments • Highly self-directed and accountable • Able to manage multiple priorities and deliver consistently • Exposure to AI methods for expediting research Benefits • Culture of flexibility, trust, and continual learning • Recognition for growth and impact • Opportunity to solve complex problems • High ownership and direct impact on product direction
