Business Systems Analyst
Location: Toronto, ON
Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid — Thursdays and 4th Friday of the month (subject to change based on business requirements)

• Pay Rate: C$90.00–C$95.00 / Hour (CAD)
• Shift / Schedule: 37.5 hours per week; no overtime required
Job Summary
We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst focusing on global asset management and investment book of record (IBOR) expertise. The position requires a Senior Business Systems Analyst with deep knowledge of global asset management, particularly IBOR, portfolio management, and various asset classes including equities, fixed income, FX, and money market instruments. The role bridges technology and business operations to drive innovative asset management strategies. Responsibilities include gathering and documenting complex business requirements, designing client-focused solutions, and leading project implementation as a subject matter expert while mentoring technology and project teams. Key Responsibilities
• Gather and document complex business requirements, designing client-focused solutions, and leading project implementation as a subject matter expert while mentoring technology and project teams.
• Apply business analytic skills to understand complex business processes and challenges, perform requirements gathering, and design tactical and strategic solutions, with an understanding of SDLC and experience working with agile development teams to deliver solutions to a production environment.
• Work with business stakeholders to create test cases and, depending on resources, may require executing on test cases or working with QA to execute/automate the test cases.
• Bridge technology and business operations to drive innovative asset management strategies across global asset management institutional execution processes.
Required Skills
• Business analytic skills on understanding complex business process/challenges, requirements gathering, design tactical and strategic solutions, understanding SDLC, and experience working with agile development teams to deliver solutions to a production environment.
• Work with Business to create test cases and, depending on resources, may require executing on test cases or working with QA to execute/automate the test cases.
• SQL
• Excel
• Global Asset Management / Wealth / Capital Market experience, including understanding of trade life cycle and how different systems connect to each other.
• Demonstrated experience in at least 1 asset class.
• Extensive experience with investment product lifecycles, trading instruments, portfolio strategies, and risk calculations.
• Leadership.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead technical discussions.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Skills
• Power BI (willing to learn).
• Databricks (willing to learn).
• Python / VBA.
• IBOR migration experience.
Required Experience
• Extensive experience with investment product lifecycles, trading instruments, portfolio strategies, and risk calculations.
• Agile methodology experience.
• Experience working with global asset management, particularly IBOR, portfolio management, and various asset classes including equities, fixed income, FX, and money market instruments.

• In-office requirement: Thursdays and 4th Friday of the month — may change due to business requirements.
