Position Summary
The Project Manager - Construction reports into the Head of Construction and Capital Project and is responsible for the delivery of assigned corporate real estate construction projects globally primarily within the Americas and EU region. This role manages projects through design, procurement, construction, occupancy, and closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with company workplace standards and business objectives.
The Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for all construction-related activities for assigned projects and collaborates closely with internal stakeholders including Design, Real Estate Transactions, Space Planning, Branding, Security Technology, Facility Operations, IT and external stakeholders including landlords, design and PMC consultants, contractors, and other vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Delivery
• Lead delivery of capital projects, including office fit-outs, renovations, workplace refreshes, expansions, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Develop schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation plans.
• Ensure projects align with workplace design standards, operational requirements, and corporate real estate strategies.
• Manage project reporting, governance and approvals.
Design & Consultant Management
• Manage external architects, PMCs, GCs and specialty consultants.
• Facilitate design reviews and stakeholder alignment sessions.
• Coordinate landlord design approvals and permit submissions as required.
Procurement & Contract Management:
• Support procurement strategy development and vendor selection processes.
• Lead RFPs, bid evaluations, contractor interviews, and recommendation processes.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and approved vendor programs.
Construction Management:
• Oversee construction activities from mobilization through substantial completion.
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, quality, and safety performance.
• Lead regular site meetings and construction progress reviews.
• Manage project risks, issue resolution, and escalation processes.
• Review invoices, change orders, and contractor payment applications.
Stakeholder Management
• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, workplace teams, facilities management, IT, security, and external project teams.
• Communicate project status, risks, and key decisions to leadership.
• Coordinate project handover and transition to operations teams.
Financial Management
• Develop and maintain project budgets and forecasts.
• Track project expenditures and commitments.
Compliance, Safety & Sustainability
• Promote a strong safety culture across all project sites.
• Support sustainability initiatives, energy efficiency measures, and ESG objectives.
• Ensure all project documentation is properly maintained and archived.
Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Architecture, Engineering, Project Management, Real Estate, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience also considered.
• PMP, LEED or equivalent professional designation preferred but not mandatory.
Experience:
• 5-7 years of experience managing commercial interior fit-outs, workplace projects, and corporate real estate construction projects.
• Experience managing projects in occupied office environments.
• Experience managing consultants, contractors, and landlord relationships.
• Familiarity with workplace, technology, and corporate office environments.
