Network Security Analyst – Advanced
• Location: Toronto, ON - Hybrid (2 days on site)
• Pay Rate: $56.84/hr - $67.11/hr
• Contract Length: 12 Months with possibility for extension

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for risk assessment of firewall rules across multiple firewall platforms globally.
• Participating in meetings and training sessions to review and understand new technology and service deployments
• Provides input into high-level and detailed technical specifications for medium- to large-scale projects.
• Contributes to successful project completion by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies.
Must-Have Skills:
• University or College Degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent 3+ years of experience as a Network Security Analyst
• Certification in at least one of the firewall platforms and intermediate working experience with the following network and security appliances/vendors: firewalls (Check Point, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA) and/or certifications like CCNA, Security+.
• In-depth and current technical knowledge of IP internetworking and the security exposures and mitigating designs and processes associated with them.
• Strong understanding of security exposures and mitigating designs, including intermediate experience with the use of Firewall Management platform Algosec.
• Excellent understanding of the OSI model and protocols such as DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, Telnet, SSH, and TCP/IP.
Nice-to-have Skills:
• Working knowledge of Cloud Platforms (AWS, GCP and Azure).
• Working knowledge of modern technologies (e.g. APIs, DevOps).
• CISA, CRISC are considered asset.
