Senior AWS Data Engineer

Role: Senior AWS Data Engineer Toronto Hybrid Contract Tableau exp is required : Min 3-5 y Quick sight exp is required : Min 7-9 y For AWS, how important is cloud services and how much experience is needed : Experience with AWS Services and Data Portal experience is an added advantage. Key skills required: • Strong Python, SQL, Spark/PySpark, and data pipeline engineering experience. • Strong hands-on experience with AWS data services and cloud-based data platforms. • Ability to support Tableau consumption, including data connections, extracts/live queries, performance tuning, access/security, and troubleshooting dashboard data issues. • Experience building governed, production-grade data products with metadata, lineage, data quality checks, access controls, and SLAs. • Strong data modelling skills, including standardization, normalization, reusable data structures, and business-friendly data design. • Experience partnering with product owners, data stewards, business SMEs, and technology teams. • Production mindset: testing, monitoring, documentation, incident support, and operational handover. Preference for candidates with financial services or investment data experience, and prior experience supporting governed data products consumed through BI tools like Tableau.
