About this role

Founded in Vancouver, Canada in 2003, Plenty of Fish is one of the early pioneers in the online dating industry, with one of the largest and most diverse communities of singles. We work hybrid at Plenty of Fish - IRL in our downtown Vancouver office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and work remotely the remainder of the week! (We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our Monetization Pod, driving business-critical insights and shaping the future of how Plenty of Fish creates value for users and the company. You’ll also collaborate with analysts across engagement, marketing, and trust & safety to ensure a unified view of the user experience. Design and analyze A/B tests to optimize pricing strategies, feature adoption, and subscription conversion. Translate complex data into compelling, actionable insights for cross-functional teams and senior leadership. Work with Engagement, Marketing, and Trust & Safety pods to balance user experience and monetization goals. Adapt quickly, iterate on analyses, and prioritize ruthlessly in a dynamic environment with evolving business needs. 3+ years in a data analytics role, preferably in consumer tech, e-commerce, gaming, or other revenue-driven platforms. Experience working with raw telemetry event data and datasets with 100M+ rows. Expertise in A/B testing design, execution, and interpretation. Proficiency in SQL, and experience using Python for advanced analytics. Strong business acumen and product intuition—you understand the “why” behind the data.
