Data Scientist Consultant

Owning the development of forecasting models, the full-time Data Scientist Consultant will work remotely to build, validate, and optimize demand forecasts, transforming healthcare data into actionable insights for operators. Key responsibilities Build and iterate production-grade demand and volume forecasts while evaluating models through backtesting and real-world performance Define input data contracts for optimization models and transform raw data into model-ready features Communicate model outputs and recommendations clearly to non-technical users, participating in client conversations to explain model behavior Required qualifications 5+ years of experience in data science or applied analytics Proven experience owning forecasting models in production Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with the ability to handle large datasets Experience working with messy data and translating technical concepts to non-technical audiences Familiarity with capacity-constrained systems and optimization solvers is preferred
