π THE MANDATE
This is NOT an HR or corporate recruiting role. This is a high-visibility, pure strategic enterprise growth and acquisition mandate. We are seeking a sophisticated dealmaker to lead our national lateral advisor acquisition strategy. Your single mission: build relationships with premier, "corner-office" advisory teams currently navigating the constraints of traditional legacy platforms and transition their elite blocks of business ($250M to $1B+ AUM) to our world-class wealth management ecosystem. If you are a high-performing retail or institutional wholesaler or wealth management executive, who understands how to manage complex, high-stakes practice transitions, this is your next move.
π― KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
πΉ Sourcing & Origination: Proactively map, target, and open doors with top-tier wealth management producers across the Canadian market on a highly confidential basis.
πΉ The Enterprise Pitch: Articulate our advanced platform infrastructure, independent-minded payout structures, equity opportunities, and culture to high-net-worth advisors.
πΉ Deal Architecture: Orchestrate transition economics, valuation models, and competitive equity packages peer-to-peer with elite producers.
πΉ Executive Collaboration: Work directly with the SVP and Executive Leadership Team to close ultra-high-net-worth advisory teams.
πΉ Transition Accountability: Partner with our implementation teams to ensure flawless, friction-free asset migration for newly acquired advisory businesses.
π οΈ WHAT YOU BRING
βοΈ Deep Industry Credibility: An intimate understanding of the Canadian wealth management landscape (IIROC/CIRO) and the unique frustrations of advisors in traditional corporate channels.
βοΈ IIROC Distribution Channel Experience: Deep relationships in the IIROC (not mutual fund/planner) distribution channel and an understanding the challenges of corner office advisors in both the bank and independent channels.
βοΈ Peer-to-Peer Gravitas: The executive presence required to command respect from established advisors managing hundreds of millions in AUM.
βοΈ Dealmaking Track Record: Highly sophisticated negotiation skills with experience in lateral advisor movement, practice acquisition, or specialized wealth recruitment.
βοΈ Strategic Mobility: A self-starter mentality built for a high-growth environment with a national scope.
