Full Stack Software Developer (Remote/Unpaid Volunteer)

Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain Empowered Futures’ web applications across the full stack (frontend and backend) • Build responsive, modular, and reusable UI components using React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript • Develop backend services, APIs, and business logic using Node.js, GraphQL and Prisma ORM • Collaborate with other developers and participate in code reviews to maintain high coding standards • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues across the stack • Attend weekly meetings every Monday at 4:00pm MDT Qualifications • Academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) • Proficiency in JavaScript, ES6, and React.js (frontend) • Proficiency in Node.js, and ORMs (backend) • Experience with TypeScript and/or GraphQL is a plus • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail • Willingness to continuously learn, improve, and contribute to an agile team culture Benefits • Empower emerging adults in their growth and development • Contribute to innovation in the mental wellness movement • Collaborate with multidisciplinary senior board members • Grow your professional network and portfolio • Opportunity for internal growth — potential to advance into board service Join our team and make a real difference in the lives of young adults while shaping a brighter future for mental health and well-being.
