Shape public policy as a Senior Policy Advisor based in Ottawa. Collaborate with leadership and external stakeholders to influence policy issues and provide strategic insights. In this critical role at CIJA, you will conduct research and analysis, prepare impactful policy documents, and advise senior executives on legislative matters. You’ll build relationships with government officials and advocacy groups while preparing communications and reports that drive organizational strategies. Key Responsibilities • Conduct thorough policy research tailored to CIJA’s needs • Develop policy initiatives alongside the VP Policy • Prepare briefs and position papers for stakeholders • Analyze legislative and political developments for impact • Present testimony and materials for hearings and forums Requirements • Solid analytical and communication skills • Experience in policy analysis and government relations • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field • High professionalism and ability to work independently • Bilingualism is an asset Leverage your expertise to influence policy development and enhance CIJAs strategic initiatives.
