Mechanical Engineering Technologist at TTC

Elevate your career with the Toronto Transit Commission as a Mechanical Engineering Technologist. This role focuses on providing expert engineering support in building services design, including HVAC and plumbing systems. The TTC is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Technologist to join the Plant Maintenance Department. You will prepare detailed contract drawings and conduct design calculations to develop mechanical systems and ensure compliance with codes. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to produce coordinated contract documents while troubleshooting mechanical issues for operations. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare CADD drawings and design calculations • Develop concepts for mechanical building systems • Collaborate with design services groups for coordination • Research applicable codes like the Ontario Building Code • Assist in producing mechanical specifications for construction Requirements: • University Degree or College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology • Knowledge of mechanical design principles and practices • Familiarity with provincial and national codes and regulations • O.A.C.E.T.T. certification is an asset • Valid Class “G” Driver’s license and personal vehicle access Support the TTC's vision through mechanical engineering excellence and comprehensive design expertise.
