Job Title: Outside Business Development Manager (Legal Industry) Location: North York – hybrid with travel Industry: Professional Services - Legal Salary: $80,000 –$110,000++ expected comp (base + commission) Our client is an industry-leading professional services firm in the legal space. They are seeking a highly motivated business development manager to join their dedicated team. This role offers regular exposure to corporate professionals in the insurance, legal and related industries . The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast paced, corporate and professional environment. As a key member of the business development team, you will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, engaging prospective clients, and nurturing long-term relationships that drive sustained growth. This is a hybrid position involving both in-office collaboration and on-the-road relationship management. Responsibilities • Identify and pursue new business opportunities • Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with lawyers, paralegals, and other legal professionals. • Represent at industry events, conferences, and Lunch & Learns • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience from introduction to engagement. • Track leads, outreach efforts, and activity metrics using a CRM platform. • Collaborate with leadership to develop regional growth strategies and marketing initiatives. • Travel as needed to meet clients, attend events, and strengthen relationships. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Law or similar is required • 3+ years experience • Proven experience in outside sales, business development, or professional services within the legal, financial, or consulting sectors is required • Experience using CRM tools to manage outreach and pipeline development. • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment. • Willingness to travel within Canada as required.
