Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with strong capital markets and trading experience to join our banking client’s team. The successful candidate will act as a liaison between business stakeholders, trading operations, and technology teams to analyze, design, and implement solutions that support front-office and middle-office trading functions. This role requires deep knowledge of Mutual Funds, Order Management Systems (OMS), and Broadridge platforms, along with strong analytical and requirements management skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with traders, operations teams, product owners, and technology stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
• Analyze current trading workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and system optimization.
• Support the implementation and enhancement of trading platforms, OMS solutions, and downstream operational systems.
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, process flows, use cases, and user stories.
• Work closely with development and QA teams throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and requirements review sessions.
• Conduct impact assessments for system changes, enhancements, and regulatory requirements.
• Support integration initiatives involving trading systems, Broadridge platforms, and other enterprise applications.
• Develop and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans and coordinate testing activities with business users.
• Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with support teams to resolve system-related concerns.
• Ensure compliance with banking, regulatory, and operational standards.
Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst within the banking, capital markets, or financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of trading operations, trade lifecycle, settlements, and investment products.
• Hands-on experience working with Mutual Funds trading and operational processes.
• Proven experience with Broadridge platforms and related trade processing workflows.
• Strong knowledge of Order Management Systems (OMS) and trading technology ecosystems.
• Experience gathering and documenting business, functional, and system requirements.
• Proficiency in creating process maps, workflow diagrams, data mappings, and business requirement documents.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with SQL, data analysis, and reporting tools is considered an asset.
