About this role
Our client, a growing engineering consulting firm, is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer (P.Eng.) to join their team. This opportunity is ideal for a licensed engineer who can independently lead projects, stamp drawings in Ontario, and work on complex building infrastructure and back-of-house systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform mechanical engineering design for building systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
• Prepare calculations, specifications, reports, and supporting documentation.
• Act as Engineer of Record (EOR) and provide professional sealing of mechanical design packages.
• Lead projects from design through construction, coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Conduct site investigations, field reviews, and construction inspections.
• Respond to contractor inquiries and provide technical support during construction.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and proposal preparation.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario with the ability to stamp and seal drawings.
• Minimum 5 years of consulting engineering experience.
• Experience independently managing and delivering mechanical engineering projects.
• Strong background in HVAC systems, central plants, mechanical rooms, utility coordination, site servicing, and building infrastructure projects.
• Thorough knowledge of OBC, NBC, ASHRAE, CSA, and NFPA standards.
• Experience with Carrier HAP is considered an asset.
• P.Eng. registration in Quebec and/or New Brunswick is an asset.

Compensation & Benefits
• Competitive salary of $90,000 - $110,000, based on experience and qualifications.
