Senior Data Scientist - Predictive Modeling

Our client, a fast-growing e-commerce analytics firm, is looking for a talented Senior Data Scientist with expertise in predictive modeling. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the US. You will be instrumental in developing and deploying advanced statistical and machine learning models to uncover actionable insights from vast datasets, driving strategic decisions and enhancing customer experiences. Responsibilities: Design, build, and implement sophisticated predictive models for customer behavior, sales forecasting, churn prediction, and risk assessment. Apply a wide range of statistical and machine learning techniques, including regression, classification, clustering, time series analysis, and deep learning. Clean, transform, and engineer features from large, complex datasets to optimize model performance. Develop and maintain robust data pipelines for model training and deployment. Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to define analytical problems and deliver data-driven solutions. Evaluate model performance, perform A/B testing, and iterate on models to improve accuracy and business impact. Communicate complex findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences through visualizations and reports. Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the team's knowledge base. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Qualifications: Master's or Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field. 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong emphasis on building and deploying predictive models. Expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and relevant libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch). Experience with SQL and working with large-scale databases. Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is a plus. Excellent data visualization and communication skills. Proven ability to translate business problems into quantitative analyses and actionable insights. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is desirable.
