About this role
We're looking for a Business Analyst with retail banking experience to support requirements gathering, solution design, and delivery across technology initiatives at a major Canadian bank. The ideal candidate communicates clearly, facilitates effectively, and has hands-on experience across at least one full project implementation cycle.
What You'll Do
• Assess, analyze, and document business and system needs, and recommend technology solutions aligned with sponsor objectives
• Facilitate small to large group meetings for requirements gathering, technical design, decision making, and problem solving
• Lead detailed design phases and determine the best mix of configuration, development, and third-party solutions to meet project goals
• Develop detailed functional specifications, component test plans, and configuration documentation
• Build rapport and communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and interface groups from project initiation through to close
• Create process flow diagrams using Visio or Lucidchart
• Provide backup support for the Scrum Master role as needed
What You Bring
• Retail banking domain experience (mandatory)
• Proven experience facilitating requirements sessions and documenting system requirements
• At least one full-cycle implementation project experience
• Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and Mural
• Ability to create process flows using Visio or Lucidchart
• Eligibility for a mandatory background check
Nice to have
• Experience acting as Scrum Master or covering scrum ceremonies
• Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
• Prior experience at a Tier-1 Canadian bank
Work setup
• Onsite in Toronto, ON, 4 days per week
• In-person interview required
• 6+ month contract
• English proficiency required
