About the Role Our client, a rapidly growing leader in the direct-to-consumer e-commerce space, is seeking a highly experienced Senior E-commerce Operations Manager to lead their operations team. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to manage and optimize online sales channels from anywhere in Canada. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of e-commerce fulfillment, logistics, inventory management, and platform operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of online orders, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, and driving operational efficiency to support the company's aggressive growth objectives. We are looking for a strategic and hands-on leader who can build and scale operations in a dynamic, fast-paced digital retail environment. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring our client's online presence is robust and capable of meeting increasing customer demand. Key Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of e-commerce operations, including order processing, fulfillment, shipping, and returns. Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, ensuring performance standards are met and costs are optimized. Develop and implement strategies for inventory management across multiple warehouses and sales channels to maximize stock availability and minimize carrying costs. Optimize website performance and user experience related to the checkout and order placement process. Monitor key operational metrics (e.g., order accuracy, on-time delivery, fulfillment cost) and implement improvements. Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer service teams to ensure alignment on operational capabilities and promotional activities. Identify and implement process improvements and technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency and scalability. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards. Manage operational budgets and forecast future resource needs. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team in a remote setting. Requirements Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in e-commerce operations management, with a strong emphasis on logistics and fulfillment. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale online retail operations and scaling them to meet growth demands. In-depth knowledge of e-commerce platforms, WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), and OMS (Order Management Systems). Experience negotiating with and managing 3PL providers and other supply chain partners. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisions. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment and manage cross-functional teams. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field. Familiarity with international shipping regulations and customs processes is a plus. Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and possess a reliable internet connection.
