Humans of HR is excited to be partnering with a respected organization in the search for a Director, HR Business Partners. This is a unique opportunity for an accomplished HR leader to step into a highly influential role, partnering directly with senior executives to shape workforce strategy, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and elevate leadership capability across a complex and evolving business. As a key member of the broader People & Culture leadership team, you will help define and execute people strategies that drive business performance, support transformation initiatives, and create exceptional employee experiences. This role requires a strategic thinker who is equally comfortable advising executives, navigating organizational change, and leading a high-performing HR team. What You'll Be Leading • Serving as a trusted advisor to executive leaders on talent, organizational effectiveness, culture, and workforce strategy. • Developing and executing people plans that align with long-term business objectives. • Guiding large-scale transformation and change initiatives while ensuring strong employee engagement and adoption. • Leading organizational design and workforce planning efforts to support future growth. • Driving succession planning and leadership development strategies for critical talent pipelines. • Leveraging data and insights to influence decision-making and measure the effectiveness of people initiatives. • Supporting complex employee and labour relations matters in partnership with specialized HR teams. • Playing a key role in business integrations, organizational transitions, and enterprise-wide strategic initiatives. • Coaching and developing a team of HR professionals while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. What We're Looking For • 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including significant experience operating at a senior HR Business Partner leadership level. • Proven ability to influence and partner with executive leadership teams. • Strong background in organizational design, talent strategy, leadership development, and change management. • Experience working within large, complex, and fast-paced environments. • Demonstrated success leading teams and building trusted relationships across all levels of an organization. • Strong business acumen, analytical capability, and problem-solving skills. • Experience supporting unionized environments is considered an asset.
