Financial Analyst (FP&A / Financial Planning & Analysis) Location: Hybrid (4 days onsite per week) Contract: 6-Month Contract with strong potential for extension Our client, an industry leader in the Distribution sector, is seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst (FP&A) to join their finance team on an initial 6-month contract, with a strong possibility of extension. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to gain hands-on experience in budgeting, financial planning systems, and business partnering within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role offers strong mentorship and development exposure, making it ideal for candidates looking to strengthen their FP&A, financial systems, and business support experience. Key Responsibilities • Lead the preparation and consolidation of financial statement budgets to support the Annual Operating Plan • Support the development, execution, and approval of the annual financial planning process • Partner with budget owners and business stakeholders across the organization to provide guidance, technical support, and training on budgeting processes • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, ensuring transparency and alignment in financial planning activities • Stay current with accounting principles, corporate policies, and planning methodologies • Support financial planning systems including Hyperion Planning, Essbase, and Oracle Project Accounting • Assist with system enhancements, updates, testing, and troubleshooting of financial planning tools • Utilize technical and programming skills (where applicable) including VBA, SQL, and scripting tools to improve reporting and automation • Enhance and improve financial planning systems, reports, and applications based on evolving business needs • Track and support capital and operational expenditure reporting, including periodic and ad hoc reporting requirements • Provide decision support through cost-benefit analysis, financial modeling, and process improvement recommendations • Assist with post-implementation reviews and reporting for executive-level presentations • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial planning accuracy, efficiency, and insight delivery Qualifications • CPA designation or enrollment in CPA program (or equivalent), with 3+ years of relevant experience • Strong experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), budgeting, or financial reporting • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Outlook • Experience with Hyperion Planning, Essbase, and Financial Reporting tools (e.g., Financial Reporting Studio) • Exposure to financial systems and reporting tools in a corporate environment • Programming or technical skills such as VBA, SQL, or scripting languages are considered a strong asset • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modelling skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment • Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with business stakeholders How to Apply If you have the skills and experience required for this role and would like to learn more, please submit your updated resume in MS Word format to: Navneet Kaur at nkaur@ifgpr.com
