TDJP00058208 - CAN - IT - AML Developer IV ASSIGNMENT DETAILS: Position Title: Data scientist \ data engineer # of positions: 4 – Will be shortlisting 20 resumes in the first round Start Date: Early August Duration: 6 months Extension possible: Yes Conversion Possible: Yes Billing Cost Center: 004-5595 - TD CDN Schedule: M-F Core business hours OT: As needed Rotation: No Budget/TD Bill Rate: $131.95 Work Location: • Remote, Onsite, or Hybrid: Hybrid - 3 days a week in office • Anchor Days (if applicable): Wednesday • Address: 3500 Steeles Avenue East, Markham, Ontario – could also be 79 Wellington West TO ( as per the consultant residence or commute preference ) Travel Required: No Possibility of any Additional Upcoming Furlough: No STORY BEHIND THE NEED: Reason for request/why opened: New project support Scope of Project: Building transaction monitoring in Oracle Team Size/Culture: 10 ppl Training Period: 2- 3 weeks Selling Points of Position (CVP): Working within a leading FI organization CANDIDATE PROFILE DETAILS: Degree/Level of Education: Ideally masters but experience can compensate ( computer science or related ) Certifications Required: No Years of Overall Experience: 5yrs + How will performance be measured: Quality of the deliverables Preferred/Ideal Candidate Background: FI ideally SUMMARY OF THE ROLE: • Typical Day-to-Day Responsibilities Reporting to the Senior Advanced Analytics Manager, the Data Scientist will be conducting all analytical activities related to AML transaction monitoring systems. • Work independently to provide analysis, design and support of technical data management solutions on various projects ranging in complexity and size • Conduct data quality checks on raw or curated data on Oracle and Azure platforms • Conduct activities related to customer segmentation, scenario Initial threshold setting and model performance monitoring • Help maintain a structured documentation process to demonstrate an effective scenario review program to satisfy audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements • Execute quality control procedures to review end-to-end interim monitoring solutions, identify gaps, and support future-state implementation activities. • Work with various business teams to help identify areas for improvement and provide insights using supporting data and models to support business strategies. • How much time is being spent in meetings : 1hr a day • Who are they interacting with (internal/external) : Majority is Internal but some external • Will the contractor have access to any customer data? YES MUST-HAVE Hard Skills: • Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL. • Advanced knowledge of query optimization, debugging, and automation. • Strong data exploration and analysis skills, with experience working with large-scale datasets. • Ability to apply statistical techniques and data mining tools to solve business problems. • Strong knowledge of and experience with data-driven or data-centric projects. SOFT SKILLS: • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to engage cross-functional teams, discuss complex data issues, and present findings clearly. • Proven ability to work effectively within large, collaborative teams and contribute as a strong team player. • Excellent multi-tasking skills: ability to adapt to and manage changing priorities. NICE-TO-HAVE 1.) Experience with SAS, Informatica, Tableau, and other relevant data analytics tools. 2.)
