Oliver Wyman – Consumer, Telco & Technology – Senior Consultant or Associate Job Specification Practice Groups: Consumer, Telco & Technology Location: Toronto Roles: Senior Consultant and/or Associates Role Senior Consultants and Associates are critical members of our consulting team, working side-by-side with our clients. Initial responsibilities may include: • Managing the execution of individual project workstreams. This typically includes developing hypotheses; managing data collection, model creation and analyses; conducting primary and secondary research; creatively tackling information limitations; and surfacing insights • Synthesizing findings into written presentations; reviewing and discussing with clients and other stakeholders • Supporting our Partner group in project delivery through accurate and high quality execution • Reporting to Engagement Managers and Principals, effectively seeking guidance for technical expertise or senior-level advice on project execution and client engagement • Coaching consultants and helping them develop their skill sets Desired Skills and Experience Clients hire Oliver Wyman for specialized expertise, the ideal candidate will have most of the following: • At least 3-6 years of relevant experience, ideally with a top-tier strategy consulting firm (or similar organization). • Experience within Retail, Consumer Goods, Telecommunications, Software/Technology, Media industries preferred, but not required. • Familiarity/experience with range of analytical tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python). • A strong background in strategic problem solving with demonstrable analytical skills. • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both formal and informal settings. • An undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program. • Willingness to travel. • Know how to take the initiative, seeking out opportunities to learn new skills and put the ones you’ve already got to good use. • Not just intelligence, but creativity too: you’ll be ready to come up with novel ideas to solve our clients’ biggest problems. • Have an aptitude for analytical work, like sniffing out clues in massive data sets or hunting down the key issues in a hugely complex challenge. • A willingness to work fluidly and respectfully with our incredibly talented team. The applicable base salary range for this role is $135,000 - $205,000. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
