Company Description
Are you interested in volunteering and getting some experience with web development for a good cause? We are a Registered Charity with the CRA, our focus is bringing awareness around domestic abuse and violence. Our journey and advocacy started when we lost Nadia El-Dib, who was violently murdered in Calgary on March 25th, 2018, in a case of domestic violence. We raise awareness through public presentations both in person and online.
Role Description
This is a volunteer remote role for a Web Developer at Nadia's Hope Foundation. The Web Developer will be responsible for back-end and front-end web development, programming, web design, and web development tasks on a day-to-day basis. This will involve 5-10 hours per month of volunteering.
Qualifications
• Experience GritHub and CMS (Hygraph) and Next JS. This is the software used for our website
• Back-End Web Development and Front-End Development skills
• Experience in Web Development and Programming
• Web Design skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of web development frameworks and technologies
• Previous experience in non-profit organizations is a plus
