Global Controller at AI Startup Toronto

Join a fast-growing AI startup in Toronto as a Global Controller. This hands-on role involves leading the entire finance function while reporting directly to the CEO. As Global Controller, you will manage all aspects of finance and accounting, including month-end and year-end close processes, IFRS financial statement preparation, and external audits. You will build scalable financial processes to handle rapid growth while overseeing treasury and cash management operations. Key Responsibilities: • Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close • Prepare and oversee IFRS financial statements • Lead end-to-end external audit processes • Build and scale financial processes for growth • Manage corporate tax filings, including SR&ED Requirements: • CPA designation required • 8–12 years of progressive accounting experience • Background in public accounting at the Manager level • Proven Controller experience at a VC-backed startup • Hands-on approach with strong operational skills Bring your expertise in financial leadership and hands-on management to drive success at this Toronto-based startup.
