About this role
Well-regarded national law practice in Toronto is hiring a technology transactions lawyer to support M&A and corporate deals at the intersection of tech and commercial law. The role focuses on managing technology due diligence, advising on licensing and commercialization issues, and drafting/negotiating software- and domain-related transactional documents.
The successful candidate will work closely with the firm’s Technology team, use AI-enabled tools to support due diligence, help develop transaction playbooks, and assist with transitional services and ancillary commercial agreements. This is a hybrid role with an expectation of primarily in-office attendance and flexibility to work remotely part of the week.
• 1–3 years post-call experience; prior exposure to M&A and technology transactions preferred
• Familiarity with technology-related commercial agreements (licences, SaaS, professional services) and technology due diligence processes
• Strong drafting, communication and organizational skills; comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Interest in using AI tools to support transactional workflows and a commitment to client service and efficiency
