The Role You treat the business like a laboratory. You sit at the intersection of data science, marketing, and operations — finding the insight in the data, then personally shipping the thing the insight calls for. You form hypotheses, design the experiments, run them, and document what you learn (including what failed). You don't need to be a hardcore engineer — our engineering team handles infrastructure and supports you on anything technical. But you should love building with AI: automating things with Claude and other LLMs is the daily work, and it should sound fun, not scary. What You'll Do • Design and run systematic experiments across research, product and marketing — A/B test and develop the measurement methods to know what actually worked • Dig through user data for behavioural patterns ("users who do X in week one are 3x more likely to subscribe") and turn them into testable hypotheses • Keep a running experiment log (hypothesis → test → result → conclusion) — core to how we work and how we track our R&D • Launch the tests yourself: write the copy, build the flow, and adjust budgets in real time • Human insights: review AI-generated output and kill anything a sharp human wouldn't tolerate • BizOps when the business needs it: model unit economics and capacity, negotiate with vendors, write SOPs, and personally manage rollouts of new tools and processes Who You Are • Curious about how people think and decide — you find psychology and persuasion genuinely interesting • You can tell good copy from AI slop and explain why, specifically • You love building with AI — you've automated something with LLMs or AI tools, even small, and can show us • Comfortable with data and willing to learn light SQL/Python (engineers support you) • Clear communicator — your experiment notes, copy, and SOPs will ship to real decisions and real customers • Happy switching between spreadsheet, script, and phone call in the same afternoon • Eligible to work in Canada Marketing or operations background welcome — if you've run campaigns or processes and always wished you could test your instincts properly, this is that job.
