Role Description This is a full-time Articled Student role based in Toronto, ON, with a hybrid work arrangement that combines in-office presence and the flexibility to work from home for part of the week. The Articling Student will assist lawyers with court appearances, legal research, drafting memoranda, pleadings, correspondence, and transactional documents. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and organizing disclosure and documents, preparing court materials, and supporting lawyers in client meetings, negotiations, and hearings where appropriate. The role involves managing deadlines, maintaining organized files, and using legal practice tools and technology to support efficient workflow. Qualifications • Currently enrolled in, or recent graduate of, an accredited law school and eligible to article in Ontario. • Strong legal research and writing abilities, including experience using legal research platforms and drafting clear, concise documents. • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and provide practical recommendations. • Excellent organization and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and handle multiple matters simultaneously. • Professional communication skills, including the ability to interact respectfully with clients, colleagues, and external parties in writing and in person. • Comfort using standard office and legal technology (e.g., Microsoft Office, document management systems, electronic filing platforms). • Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and professional responsibility. • Interest or prior exposure to litigation, corporate, or other practice areas relevant to the firm’s work is an asset. • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid environment. • Willingness to learn, take direction, seek feedback, and contribute to an inclusive and respectful workplace.
