Financial Systems Analyst

Our client, a well-established and growing Canadian organization, is seeking a Financial Systems Analyst to join their team. This newly created position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in finance transformation initiatives, business process optimization, and financial systems enhancement. This role is ideal for an individual who began their career in accounting or finance and has since developed expertise in ERP systems, financial systems support, and process improvement. You will partner closely with Finance, Accounting, IT, and operational stakeholders to drive efficiencies, improve workflows, and support strategic initiatives across the organization. This is a hybrid position based in the Lower Mainland. Key Responsibilities • Lead finance-related projects focused on process improvement, systems optimization, and operational efficiency. • Analyze and redesign business processes to improve workflows, reporting, and automation. • Partner with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to support ERP enhancements and system improvements. • Develop project plans, monitor progress, and communicate updates to key stakeholders. • Prepare process documentation, workflow maps, KPIs, and reporting dashboards. • Coordinate testing, training, and change management activities related to new processes and systems. • Collaborate across departments to ensure projects are delivered on time and aligned with business objectives. • Support continuous improvement initiatives and help drive best practices across the organization. Qualifications • 3+ years of experience in project management, business process analysis, financial systems, or a related discipline. • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. • Foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. • Experience working with ERP systems and supporting financial system enhancements or implementations. • Strong business process improvement and workflow analysis experience. • Experience with process mapping tools such as Visio or similar platforms. • Advanced proficiency with Excel and reporting or BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the organization. Preferred Qualifications • Experience supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, or optimization projects. • Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma. • Professional designations such as CPA, PMP, CBAP, or Lean Six Sigma certification are considered assets.
