Job Title: Product Owner Location: Toronto, Canada (Hybrid – once in a week) Duration: Long Term About the role: As a Product Owner you are an integral part of our cross functional agile delivery teams who are responsible for designing, deploying, automating, optimizing and maintaining the next generation of platforms for the organization. You will also liaise with business stakeholders to ensure the delivered product is fit for the organization''s needs, is scalable and can be easily improved over time as required. Working alongside the software development product team, you take ownership of the product, and you are accountable for delivering the best, and highest value software product to both internal and external customers. This is what you will do: • Define product vision, and growth opportunities with the team. • Create a roadmap balancing business value, vision and technical requirements. • Define and create clear MVP products with your product team. • Lead sessions around epic sizing, refinements or other ways to help prioritize and create a high standard of output. • Ensure clear and timely communication with all stakeholders. • Collaborate with internal and external contacts to analyse needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals. • Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to create and maintain product backlog according to business value. • Lead the planning product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities. • Enable the team to have focussed and productive sprints, for example by having prepared and prioritized tasks ready to be picked up and working with clear sprint goals. Your qualities: • Master''s degree in business and/or technical sciences. • At least 3 years’ experience with product and/or project management • Experience working with / and managing Agile / Scrum projects • Excellent organizational and communication skills • Excellent at building relationships to achieve success for your market • Understanding how requirements translate to technical solutions and product design. • Prior experience delivering high profile software, web or eCommerce projects in international teams. • You get stuff done. You live and breathe an entrepreneurial attitude. You preferably set up, executed and successfully delivered end-to-end projects from scratch within an organization, or had experience running your own company. The entrepreneurial edge (this is what sets you apart) • You''ve grown something from early stage to scale – whether a product, a team, or your own venture • You''re energised by the post-launch phase: the messy, iterative work of finding product-market fit • You''re comfortable operating without a playbook and creating structure as you go • You make decisions with incomplete information and course-correct as you learn Your future department: The Group Product department builds software for local lottery needs that integrates with the Group Product Tech ecosystem on the PLG cloud according to Group Tech standards, process and tools. The department exists of the following disciplines Product Management, Product Design, Agile specialism, Product research.
